The lyrics and my ideas

Here are the lyrics for the music video that we are working on. The lyrics are relating to a girl that gets everything her way. It also talks in a sexual way saying "Oh give me some attention, I was made for you and built to please you". We know this song is relating to a sexual pleasurable way within the lyrics. Here you can see that we have taken into account the feelings and emotions that the lyrics send out to the audience and what image the lyrics have put into our groups thoughts. We've also included some ideas of the meaning of the lyrics and how it could relate to the singing/artist of the song. Our group think that the artist is talking about a girl that he has met and has a relationship with her but it isn't seen as normal. We think this because of the unusual lyrics that have been included into the song but the song also includes lyrics that are involved in normal relationship like kissing and poetry (desribing someone that you love can be a form of poetry - or someone that you're very close to, you tend to make up lovely descriptions of).

The lyrics are repeated and we have described what we think about the lyrics of the music video. The lyrics that are in bold are the the lyrics that our group have describe and included our thoughts on, the lyrics in italic are the lyrics that have been repeated in the song.

  She wants one for nothing
To keep it reacting
Control then for ever
She was and never felt better

In the first few lines of the lyrics, it's talking about a female and how she want's something for nothing but to keep it reacting. This could be something that the male artist is talking about, maybe the girl wants something from the guy to keep the relationship "reacting". It then talks about controling forever. Perhaps this is the girl controlling the guy but the guy has to put up with the female controlling him because he can't get enough of her and doesn't want to loose her. It then talks about the girl had never felt better - this can relate to the "one for nothing" part of the song - she might have got what she wants from the guy and has never felt better after recieveing it.

She's open, she's wild life
Caressing the pride life
Religious, pleasure to pain
The kiss, the kill, the poetry, the freak way
The kiss, the kill, the poetry, the freak way
The Kiss, the kill and never felt better

In the second verse of the song, it talks about how the female is "open" and "wild life". This can relate to the personality of the girl of what the guy is singing about. He might be talking about the womans feelings and personalitiy and he says "religious" - she may be a religious woman but she has "pleasure to pain" - this can relate to the last verse of the song where it says "you are the devil". Maybe the girl is religious but in an evil way - maybe she has her own religion and ways of doing things. It's like the guy is singing about her like she's the god of her own religion and way of living as she controls this guy but he enjoys his role of being controlled. Also during this verse, it says "the kiss, the kill, the poetry, the freak way" - this can relate to the relationship between the guy and the girl he's singing about - kissing is part of a relationship/interation with another person but the guy describes "the freak way" - maybe this is because their relationship is unusual and isn't seen as the norm in society but will be seen as freakish as the guy enjoys the things that this girl does to him.

She wants one for nothing
To keep it reacting
Control then for ever
She was and never felt better

Pretty little angel
Can we play your game?
I will be gentle
I will move to your pace
Show me the reaction
Come home with me
Oh give me some attention
I was made for you and built to pleas
e

Here is when the chorus starts and is introduced into the song. The lyrics "pretty little angel" can relate to how perfect for the guy this girl he is singing about is for him. It's like the guy respects everything that she does but knows that it isn't normal to everyone else. The lyrics "can we play your game?" shows that the guy wants to do what the girl does but back at her as he says that he "will be gentle" and "move to her pace". Also within this verse, the guy is asking for a reaction like the girl hasn't been treated how she treats others - he asks her to come home with him and to give him some attention like he's always giving her - but he's isn't forgetting she's like an "angel" to him, a god like figure as he says "I was made for you and built to please" - when the guy says this,

Show me the reaction
The poetry, the freak way
Show me the reaction
I'd never felt better

As the song progresses, the lyrics on this verse are similar but are sung in a very low tone and are very quiet and almost whispering. He says "I'd never felt better" talking as it's the past now compared to the first verse when he's talking in the present. It's as if she's moved onto another person and commiting her evil to other guys.

She wants one for nothing

To keep it reacting
Control then for ever
She was and never felt better

She's open, she's wild life

Caressing the pride life
Religious, pleasure to pain
The kiss, the kill, the poetry, the freak way

Pretty little angel

Can we play your game?
I will be gentle
I will move to your pace
Show me the reaction
Come home with me
Oh give me some attention
I was made for you and built to please
I can't forget you
You are the devïl
You are the endless foreplay

The lyrics in the last verse talk about how the guy can't forget about the girl as if he's split away from her or either he's still with her and will never forget her because she's so different from others that he has met, that she is unique to him. He describes the girl as the "devil" - this could maybe relate to the girls personality and how the guy is describing how evil she is with what she does with him. He also describes the girl as "endless foreplay" - this can relate to their sexual contact with each other.

Needs to be completed - look for videos that are the same genre of the song and then find ideas that can help with the music video production.
