History of our chosen artist IAMX

IAMX Portrait.jpg

IAMX is actually the solo music project of Chris Corner(Christopher Anthony Corner). His original name is Chris Corner and he had started singing/making music videos in 2004. He is a independent artist, in his music video he focuses on visual art experiments. He is a singer of many genres of music, for example electronic rock, synthpop, alternative, and dance music.

IAMX is really energetic on stage, and often he is wearing unusual kinds of outfits on stage, and he usually wears a lot of body paint too.

Kiss + Swallow (2004-2006) this album is about sexual fantasy, and aggression.

The Alternative and live in Warsaw (2006-2008) is IAMX's second album. This album is very creative and arty. IAMX uses a lot of black and yellow paint in his music videos and has a really creative image.

List of other albums:

Kingdom of welcome addictions (2009-2011)
Volatile Times (2011)
The Unified Field (2012-2013)

Electro House-The Genre of our chosen track artist.

Electro house is a subgenre of house music. It was influenced from music in the 1980's such as electro, electroclash, pop, synthpop and tech house. The term has been used to describe most of the best and most popular DJ's, such as David Guetta. A example of his electronic music is as below:

The genre has been described as a fusion genre of house and electro, either in its original form or as fused with synthpop and techno in its late-1990s revival, electroclash. It has also been seen as a term created from using "electro" as an adjective (meaning "futuristic" or "hard") for "house". French house by artists such as Daft Punk has also been considered a strong influence on electro house.

Early songs that have been labelled retroactively as electro house include "Transamerican" by Sublime in 1993, "Dark Invader" and "The Arival" by Arrivers in 1996, and "Raw S*it" by Basement Jaxx in 1997. Mr. Oizo's 1999 hit "Flat Beat" has also been considered an early example of the genre.

Benny Benassi, with his track "Satisfaction" released in 2002, is seen as the forerunner of electro house who brought it to the mainstream. In the early 2000s, the genre saw the emergence of new producers such as David Guetta and Yasutaka Nakata. In 2005, electro house saw an increase in popularity. In November 2006, electro house tracks "Put Your Hands Up For Detroit" by Fedde Le Grand and "Yeah Yeah" by Bodyrox and Luciana held the number one and number two spots, respectively, in the UK Top 40 singles charts. Since then, electro house producers such as Avicii, deadmau5, Knife Party, and Skrillex have emerged and become increasingly popular.

The subgenres are: Complextro,Dutch House,Fidget house,Moombahton.

Pretty little angel music video

Music Video of our chosen Track.

The track we chose is named "Pretty little angel" and the music was made by
Moonbootica, but the singer is the artist named IAMX. In my opinion there
is not much to this music video.

The editing is very simple, and there isn't much happening. Because of this,
I have more of a chance to come up with my own
Music video which can over take the official music video.

Also, the artist that sings the song, isn't actually in the music video at all, it's just a few
random people, men and women spinning around a chair with an electronic background
edited in. I really like the backround and lighting to this music video though, but
unfortunatelly it seems too expensive and hard to make. I think this music video was
created in a studio.

Because the original music video is so plain and boring, it gives my group a better chance
of making ours look well planned and thought through. I am going to be as creative as
possible when making this music video.
