filming progress

We have finally finished shooting! we are very pleased with the look of our shots and we can't wait to start editing

Filming 2

Today we had to film the camera above my body. I had to almost climb
up the wall. I also had to pull a sexual expression. This was challenging
but it turned out pretty well.

Filming 1

On the first day of filming we were just practicing our shots and locations. We wanted to make sure the lighting wasn't too dark/light, and that the location looked good on the camera.

Shooting 4-

Today we had to film the camera panning up my body while I pose a sexual pose.
This shot turned out very well, and we were very pleased with it.

Shooting 3-

This time we had to film Daniel (our main singer) blindfolded. We filmed a pan up his body and then had him move his head around, almost confused looking. I then got extremely close-up to his face and filmed him with his black lipstick on , once again still blindfolded. 

Shooting 2-

Today we filmed a close-up of me pouting my lips, and winking into the camera. We had to do this
several times as it just ended up looking funny. Before doing this I had to get ready. This was a successful shoot though.

Shooting 1-

Today we filmed a performance of our main singer Daniel. We filmed him laying down on the floor singing into the camera. We filmed the whole song through twice, just to make sure it looked the best it possibly could. I dressed him up into his white blouse, his black tie, and gave him red lipstick and eye liner, and foundation. This took up quite a bit of time of the shoot, but payed off as he looked better on the camera. This was our first artist performance shoot. I made sure to move the camera leaning down, to get as close to Daniel's face as possible. I didn't keep the camera still, I moved it along with the beat, to make it look less boring. Also to make it go with the video.

Practice shots-bath scene

In our music video, before the music starts there are a couple of shots without the music. We have been inspired by many famous music video's which are about relationships, to start our music video this particular way. These shots were just to see what sort of image we would capture, and if the lighting was good enough etc. This is near the start where the girl is torn, and can't get over the guy, she has tried everything from drugs to alcohol, and she's just too obsessed with him. She is precious to the guy, and important to him, and this music video is made towards her, and relates to a situation/relationship that the artist had with this girl. The artist decided to make this music video to express his feelings for the girl, but to also make it fun and exciting and experimental. He doesn't know what to do with the girl, and he doesn't know why she is still all over him, but he can't seem to get her off his case, and he can't fully forget what exciting relationship they had, he also can't forget how unique and beautiful she was to him as a individual. 

 

In the real music video, the girl is going to have tears running down her face, looking very hurt as well as slightly angry. We also haven't decided yet, wether or not she is already going to be wearing this make-up , or wether she comes out of the bath, looks into the mirror and then puts it on, but we will eventually decide this.

First day of filming

On the first day of filming we didn't really get much done. We filmed me put nail polish onto my fingertips, and we filmed a shot of me with my hands on my hips. We decided that this didn't look too good, so we decided that we needed further planning. We managed to film some shots of me though. We then realised we had better ideas.

Filming preparing for fancy editing

Today in class we got put into a big group and got set a task.
The task was to take a camera and tripod and to film certain
things to prepare for our upcoming editing sessions. We
tried being as random and imaginative as we could, to get
shots of actions that would then be able to be used in our
"Moves like jagger" short music video. Because we're going
to use the dissapearing technique later on, we had to make
sure the camera was straight and focused, so that it didn't move.
This was important, as we had to film the background,and the
movement so that when it comes to editing, the dissapearing
effect will look believable.
