Inspiration

I really like the lighting in this music video. The lighting is quite exciting, and it
builds an interesting atmosphere. For example the greenish lighting at the start
of the music video. This seems like a colour correction effect has been used, for
some reason I really do like the look of this. For my music video I hope to use
colour correction, as it's more exciting, and unique.

Also another thing that inspired me is the flashing effect used throughout the video.
This makes the music video a little more entertaining.
This music video has a lot of edits, effects and colour correction. For my music
video I hope to think about using some of these things.

Another interesting thing I like about this video is definitely the performance shots.
Marilyn Manson has a really powerful performance, as he is over confident, and
he doesn't care about what other people think. In my music video I hope to give
the same sort of image for my male artist. I hope to make him very confident
in what he does, and I want him to look proud of himself, rather than ashamed.

Inspiration

I really like the mise-en-scene used in this music video. The band have really unique
outfits and make up on. Their star persona is unusual, but I find it fun and I really love
the main singers hair. The band look really colourful and cool.

Another thing I like about this music video, is that it is made in a really emo style.
The bands star image is really emo like, and the people in the band have really
fancy hair. For example at 1:02 the guy has really long black hair, with bright
red highlights.

I have been inspired by the bands star image in this music video. For my artist
I hope to make him have a similar style to the guy with the black/red hair.

Inspirational music video.

 I am really inspired by Beyonce's music video "if I were a boy".  I really like the fact that
the whole music video is black and white, which makes it more emotional and tragic.
I kind of like the idea of having a full on black and white music video, and will
take this idea into consideration.

I also find the storyline really cute, as it's only purely faced on a female and male
relationship. I find that the music video is really is to relate to, whether being a
guy or woman. Everyone will experience a negative relationship during their
lives, perhaps,but some people are lucky and don't. I really like the idea of a
emotional love story in a music video. 

Inspirational music videos

Rihanna- We found love ft. Calvin Harris



When I first watched this Rihanna music video, I found the start of the music video
very catchy and emotional, and then the music starts. I like the beginning, because it
is almost like an overview of their relationship together. I also am really inspired by
the shot of them in the bath tub together. The expression, and the make-up on her face
shows real emotion. I think this is a good video to Rhianna's career because it shows
a insight into her life, and tells you more about her as an artist. To me, I find that
music video's that start without music, and show a bit of narrative at the start, or that
tell a story at the start are more easier to understand, and connect with.



Rihanna-Hate that I love you ft. Neyo


This is also another one of Rihanna's music video's, also starting without the music
and she's in her underwear and there's just some narrative before the music starts. I would
like to do something like this maybe, but perhaps shorter than 30 seconds. I am inspired by there
being a bit of narrative before the music video starts. Also, I noticed popular artists often have
their music video's to start off without the music, it almost makes the music video seem more
realistic and is a way to promote a artist, and a way for the audience to get to know the artist a
little bit more, and maybe understand them personally. 

Inspirational music video

This music video really inspires me. There is a lot of voyeurism in this music video,
and this is the main reason why I am inspired by it. An example of voyeurism in
this music video is when the main singer is filming a guy and a girl be sexual
with each other. This is similar to our music video idea, where the story
is very sexual.

Also, I am really inspired by the female in a corset. Her outfit is very revealing, but
also sexual. I hope to give the female character in my music video a similar sort
of style, but not as revealing. I like the idea of the black corset though, and may
have something similar, as our music video is emo.

I am also inspired by the idea that the main singer was sitting on a chair watching the
girl move. This shows his attraction for the girl. In my music video I hope to
have a similar shot, but perhaps a close-up of the guy sitting down on the camera, and
instead of the female being infront of him, she's next to him touching him
sexually.

Overall this video has inspired me most. I have watched it several times, to get into
my head more shot ideas for my music video.

Justify my love-Madonna

Inspiration

 This song is called Tainted love by Marilyn Manson. The mise-en-scene in this music video as well as the type of shots both inspire me a lot. The look of the main singer when he is in the swimming pool with the gothic looking girl, really inspired me. The idea of really gothic make-up such as black lipstick, white foundation or face paint I find it really stands out, looks unique and cool, as not many music video's have this look, yet the ones who do are still just as very successful.

Also the performance in this music video is different to the others I have watched, and I enjoy this difference. The shots are unusual for example when the main artist is in a dressing gown all gothic looking, with women surrounding him, I think both genders would enjoy this music video, I kind of want to make a music video based around both genders, with a story that both would find appealing, fun and exciting, rather than just a boring narrative music video, which is just like watching a normal film, that is not what I plan to accomplish with this years music video.

 





To me I really enjoy this music video. I got inspired by idea of just a simple white stage/background with a very strong performance. I think the white background works well with the performance in this music video. The black star image of the band really contrasts with the background, making them easier to focus on, which makes it easier to promote the band.

The props in this music video really stands out to me, I am inspired by the performance of the main artist with the microphone, I think the shots really stand out when he is confidently singing into the microphone, the shots are very clear. So I really like the idea of this layout of a performance for a music video. Also, the main artists hair has inspired me, I think he looks really funky and you can tell by his clothes,make-up and hair that he is his own identity. I kind of would like to give my main artist for my music video the same sort of  bold identity.
