What to think about when creating our website!

A similiar punk image-Fall out boy.
As you can see the band Fall out boy are a pop punk band. Their image is interesting and inspiring to me. The guy on the far left, with the blue and black
strippy t-shirt on, I like his style and he is the main singer. To me he stands out as quite a emo/punk lead singer. His hair style and colour is the most inspiring feature to me, and because our lead singer for our music video is going to have a emo/gothic look, the lead singer of "Fall out boy" has a similar sense of clothing.

First day of filming
On the first day of filming we didn't really get much done. We filmed me put nail polish onto my fingertips, and we filmed a shot of me with my hands on my hips. We decided that this didn't look too good, so we decided that we needed further planning. We managed to film some shots of me though. We then realised we had better ideas.

Music Posters advertisement
Why are posters used for a way of music advertisement?
Posters are used as a form of advertising. They are made to be informative, as well as eye-catching. They usually include both textual and graphic information. They help to increase the sales and popularity of an album or whatever is being advertised has more chance of becoming success. They can also be a form of persuasion, as they often convince people to buy a certain product or to believe something. For music, it is to often inform people about things, such as an album release, which is where it would be relevant to our media coursework as we are making our own digi-pak. We are allowed to design a poster to advertise our band/artist and album, and it would be helpful.
Black Veil Brides are an American glam metal band. This is an advertisement poster for their newest album "Wretched and divine" which was released only a few days ago. The Black Veil Brides all have their different roles and styles. Everyone in Black Veil Brides has their own identity and that is the whole point of their look. Andy Sixx, the lead singer is always in the middle, as he is almost like the hero of the band. The others surround him making their own poses and expressions. Black Veil Brides have a very Gothic looking image, and pretty much all their clothes are black, their hair is black, they have a complete dark image. They are a very unique band, and they just want to stand out and be different. The white background allows the band to stand out, as the image in the centre is a lot darker, and it means that when people see this poster, they will walk past it and it will be more noticeable. On the bottom of the poster, it says it comes with the album for free, and then it has a picture of the album at the bottom. This will make their fans want to buy the album, because it also comes with this free attractive poster. The use of black,red and white in this poster makes it all contrast and stand out well.
Madonna is a really famous artist and has been for years. She was really popular in the 80's and many women and young girls see her as a big inspiration/idol.
This poster is advertising her album named "Celebration". The use of colours are quite girly, and the picture of Madonna in the centre is very interesting and stands out well. The picture looks really glamorous and well edited, there aren't many posters like this, so therefore if someone walks past they will stop and stare. At the top there is a bold capital font saying "Madonna" which is very clear, the font is easily readable. Then underneath that in pink is the name of the album, also standing out over the grey background underneath her name. The black background contrasts in this one as well, letting the colourful image of Madonna to be more catchy. At the bottom in grey it also tells you when the album is going to be in store, and that it is the greatest hits collection, with her songs that changed the world.
It also mentions the song is involved in the CD.

Group Meeting 4-Fashion Inspiration-
Today I was on the internet looking at different kinds of Gothic clothes/dress wear. These are pictures of people dressed in a fashion similar to these images. Me and my group were discussing how we find Gothic and dark images interesting. We found some pictures of fashion and other artists who have a similar star image to what we want our artist to perhaps have- fashion wise and appearance wise. We don't necessarily have to use this look, but we may.
IAMX is a artist himself, with a very dark Andy Sixx wears a lot of metal studs on his
seductive image. He is dressed in dark clothing clothing, we also found this look for a star
and has face paint on with messy black hair to image interesting.

Group Meeting3-Shots Inspiration
I was looking at
pictures of women on google, and I was looking for particular shots of their faces, shots that perhaps we could use in our music video. I really like the idea of close-ups and extreme close-ups of the face. In our music video we may use some of these shots, or we may just use shots like this,but my research has definitely helped.
